Why is it important to warm-up and mobilize before training? ••• Warming-up/stretching will gently prepare your body for exercise, by increasing your heart rate and circulation. This will awaken the muscles, loosen the joints, and increase blood flow. ••• Gymnastics requires a high level of mobility. When you warm-up and stretch correctly, you're preparing your body to move through extreme, and full ranges of motion, helping to prevent injury. ••• When you DON'T warm-up or mobilize before training, you're playing Russian Roulette with your body. It's not a question of "if", but "when" you will eventually injure yourself, because you're not taking the time to prepare yourself for movement. ••• These are five drills that I warm-up with on a daily basis. I would recommend you do the same. ••• (PS: I loaned my Victory Grips out to my athletes to try, and let me tell you, I MISS THEM. My hands were screaming without them. YOU NEED THESE GRIPS.
